Anson Resources secures US$212m tax credit for Utah lithium project

Anson Resources obtained a state-level financial incentive of US$212 million to fund its Green River lithium development in Utah. BPM Minerals also received approval to drill its Bonnie and Clyde gold prospect.

Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) has secured a US$212 million tax credit for its Green River lithium project in Utah. The Australian company applied under the state's Rural Economic Development Tax Increment Financing program, which the Governor's Office of Economic Development Board approved as a major financial incentive. This is the second significant funding boost for the facility currently being constructed near the Green River. Anson Resources stated the credit will support continued progress on the lithium battery material production site. While the project remains in construction, the tax relief provides immediate value to the operation without requiring upfront capital expenditure from the firm. Separately, BPM Minerals (ASX:BPM) received go-ahead orders to commence reverse circulation drilling at its Bonnie and Clyde gold prospect in Western Australia. The mining company plans an initial program of 10,000 meters targeting untested gold-in-soil anomalies linked to a six-kilometer zone. Analysts note the mineralization style compares favorably to similar deposits elsewhere in the region.
