$21.5 million raised by Australian and New Zealand restaurant and AI startups

Four technology companies from Australia and New Zealand secured $21.5 million in funding this week, with First Table raising $10 million to expand its discount program for off-peak dining.

Austalian and New Zealand startups focused on restaurant solutions and artificial intelligence raised a total of $21.5 million in new capital deals during the past seven days. This includes First Table, which obtained $10 million from existing investors such as Altered Capital, Invest South, Mainland Angels, Snowball Effect shareholders, K1W1, and Icehouse Ventures. The startup helps restaurants maximize revenue by offering diners discounts when tables are available during off-peak hours. Currently operating in 22 Australian cities, First Table plans to expand operations into Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth using the fresh funds. Other companies in the funding round include Metacognition AI, which develops a scam protection platform, and GoTroppo, which offers rewards for internet usage.
