Titanium Sands has formally submitted an industrial mining license application to advance the Mannar mineral sands project, which holds a confirmed JORC resource of 318 million tonnes with 4.17% total heavy minerals.

Titanium Sands (ASX:TSL) has moved forward with the Mannar mineral sands project in north-west Sri Lanka by submitting its industrial mining licence application to regulatory authorities. The company reports that major field and technical studies are complete, and its environmental impact assessment is near finalisation. Mannar currently holds a JORC compliant resource of 318 million tonnes at 4.17% total heavy minerals. A higher-grade core section within the deposit comprises 82 million tonnes at 6.03% thorium plus rare earths (THM). This positioning places Mannar among Sri Lanka's largest undeveloped mineral sands deposits. The project targets commodities critical for industrial manufacturing and supply chains.
