India's Nifty Falls to 23,398.10 After Deteriorating Technical Structure

The Nifty Index closed at 23,398.10 after slipping below key moving averages and breaching the 23,900–24,000 support zone for the fifth consecutive week.

India's benchmark stock market index closed at 23,398.10, registering a weekly decline of 499.60 points or 2.09%. The index traded within a range spanning 658.60 points as selling pressure intensified following the breach of the 23,900–24,000 support level. This zone previously offered support but now acts as resistance for any potential rebound. Technically, Nifty remains below its 100-week moving average at 24,401 and its 50-week moving average at 24,673. Analysts note that reclaiming the 23,900–24,000 zone on a closing basis is required for sustainable upward movement. Market volatility increased with India's VIX rising 15.07% to 12.29, indicating heightened risk sentiment.
