Brazil's mini-dollar futures rose 0.26% to close at 5,127.5 points

October-maturing mini-dollar contracts ended the trading day in gain after a recent decline. External tensions involving Iran pushed Brent crude above $100 while Brazilian domestic political issues remain on watch.

Brazil's October-maturing mini-dollar futures (WDOV26) closed at 5,127.5 points with a 0.26% gain after the final trading session on September 9. The spot dollar advanced 0.44% to R$ 5.114 following this rebound, representing a correction from previous losses. Globally, escalated tensions between the United States and Iran pushed Brent crude oil above US$ 100, which increased Treasury yields and strengthened the U.S. dollar against emerging market currencies. Within Brazil, concerns included conflicts in the Supreme Court of Justice (STF), an election scenario, and a negative current account surplus totaling R$ 6.693 billion. Analysts suggest traders will focus on petroleum prices, American interest rates, and developments in the Middle East war. Domestic news regarding elections and institutions could increase volatility. The market is currently evaluating whether this dollar recovery will continue or lose strength.
