Adani Airport Holdings announced Wednesday it has signed a definitive deal to raise 98.25 billion rupees, equivalent to approximately $1 billion, from international and domestic investors. The consortium includes Temasek, BlackRock, Alpha Wave Global, and Premji Invest. These funds are being raised through a rights issue with subscriptions divided into three tranches. Completion of the final transe is scheduled for July 2027, pending regulatory approvals. Post-investment, the group of investors will collectively hold about 5.54% of the operating company. Adani Airport Holdings already manages roughly one-quarter of India's total passenger traffic and a third of its air cargo volume. Company officials described the deal as a significant step toward expanding infrastructure, city-side developments, and non-aeronautical assets. This recent capital raise follows a previous 150 billion rupee qualified institutional placement completed earlier in the year by Adani Enterprises.
