Yellow Card secured conditional SEC approval for ARIP entry in Nigeria

Yellow Card Financial Nigeria Limited received conditional approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission to join the Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Programme, a step toward regulated digital asset operations.

Yellow Card Financial Nigeria Limited has obtained conditional approval-in-principle from the Nigeria Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for admission into its Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Programme (ARIP). This regulatory milestone allows the stablecoin infrastructure provider to participate in the incubation framework subject to SEC conditions. However, the approval does not grant a full license to launch specific stablecoin products or public regulated services immediately. The company stated that continued compliance and further written clearance are required before any operational activities can begin. Group vice president of operations and managing director Lasbery Chioma Oludimu described the development as an important milestone for the firm's push to deepen its presence in Nigeria's digital-asset ecosystem. Nigerian regulators continue to expand oversight over the country's growing sector.
