Cosan, Rumo and Comgas Claim No MPSP Investigation Notification Received

Three major São Paulo energy firms deny receiving official notification regarding an inquiry into irregular tax credit releases.

Cosan (CSAN3), RAIL3 (Rumo), and Comgás announced on Thursday that they have not been officially notified by the Public Prosecutor's Office of São Paulo (MP-SP) or any other authority about an investigation involving alleged irregular release of ICMS tax credits at the São Paulo state Finance and Planning Secretariat. Cosan stated it had no access to information beyond what the media reported, maintaining its integrity and compliance policies while promising to cooperate with future procedures. RAIL3 confirmed it did not receive access to investigation files but established an internal audit with external independent support, pledging to expand the scope upon accessing the files. Comgás noted it learned of the inquiry through press coverage and declared compliance with all legislation and governance standards.
