DoubleZero integrates Kalshi election data as 2026 midterm wagering hits $133 million
Prediction market operator DoubleZero added real-time political data from Kalshi ahead of November midterms, while betting volumes on the 2026 US House race have exceeded $133 million.
DoubleZero, a high-speed data distribution network, announced on Wednesday that it integrated real-time trading feeds from Kalshi's election and politics markets into its DoubleZero Edge platform. This expansion moves beyond the sports contracts and crypto perpetual futures previously carried by the system to include top-of-book, trade, and aggregated order book data for political prediction contracts. Andy Ross, head of institutional at Kalshi, stated the move aims to simplify the incorporation of political market data into institutional workflows as expectations regarding election outcomes shift.
Market activity reflects growing engagement in electoral forecasting. As of August 10, betting on the 2026 US midterm elections totaled $133 million, surpassing the $92.4 million wagered during the full 2024 congressional cycle. Current figures show a specific Kalshi market asking which party will win the US House has recorded over $35 million in volume, with Democratic victory odds at 84%.
