$167 million in outflows as US Bitcoin ETFs reverse inflow streak in early 2026
US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $120.2 million in net outflows on Wednesday, ending a three-week run of inflows.
Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the United States posted significant withdrawals on Wednesday, marking a sharp reversal for the asset class in early 2026. US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $120.2 million in net outflows on Wednesday, according to Farside Investors data. These withdrawals brought total redemptions across the first two sessions of the holiday-shortened week to $166.8 million. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) led daily withdrawals with $78 million, followed by Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC) at $27.2 million and BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) at $19.5 million. Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) was the only fund to record inflows, adding $4.5 million. The two-day pullback erased about 4.4% of the $3.8 billion attracted during the funds' strongest three-week stretch of 2026. Earlier that day, market volatility increased as Bitcoin traded around $78,000 while gold slipped below $4,400 an ounce amid rising treasury yields and oil prices topping $102. Cumulative net inflows for these funds since their launch amount to about $55 billion, while their combined 2026 net flows total about $1.07 billion in outflows.
