Walmart expands in-house delivery to Dunkin', targeting 10,000 U.S. locations by end of year

The retailer announced it will begin delivering Dunkin products from its own stores, with plans to reach the full network over the next 12 months.

Walmart confirmed it is launching an in-house delivery service for Dunkin' products starting immediately. The program initially covers locations within Walmart stores but aims to expand to approximately 10,000 U.S. Dunkin' sites by the end of the year. Most of these targets are outside existing Walmart locations, continuing a strategy similar to previous partnerships with Subway restaurants. A Walmart spokesperson described this move as a natural extension designed to offer customers more options within a trusted shopping environment. The company stated that consumers could combine restaurant items like iced coffee and maple doughnuts with grocery goods such as toilet paper or socks in a single delivery. Industry analysts view this initiative as a direct challenge to rivals Uber Eats and DoorDash, aiming to integrate food ordering into the broader retail experience. Hongseok Jang, an assistant professor of management science at Tulane University, noted that combining restaurant orders with standard shopping is a key strategic goal for the retailer.
