Perpetual Resources begins September drilling program at Brazil's Igrejinha project

The mining firm will mobilize contractors to drill 1500 meters of diamond core to test two priority lithium sites. Targeting the Mauricio and Morro Grande prospects, operations are scheduled for September following recent geological reinterpretations.

Perpetual Resources is moving into final preparations to conduct a 1500-meter diamond drilling program at its Igrejinha project in Brazil's Lithium Valley. The company plans to mobilize contractors this month to drill two priority targets named Mauricio and Morro Grande. This activity follows an internal review of earlier 2025 reverse circulation data, surface mapping, trenching, and geochemical results. Previous testing returned modest lithium grades from strongly weathered near-surface material. Perpetual believes these weathered profiles do not fully represent the fresher pegmatite deposits expected at greater depths. Diamond drilling aims to secure continuous core samples that will reveal pegmatite contacts, thickness, structural integrity, internal zoning, and mineral distribution. Recent trenching identified a traced pegmatite trend for Mauricio extending over 350 meters in strike length. Observed apparent thicknesses range from 2 to 11 meters at specific locations along this stretch.
