Nordic Resources controls 815,000oz gold at Kopsa deposit
Nordic Resources manages significant gold reserves in Finland while expanding its mining portfolio through major acquisitions.
Nordic Resources holds control of 1.23 million ounces of gold equivalent resources across three projects located in the Middle Ostrobothnia Gold Belt. Its largest asset, the Kopsa deposit, contains 815,000 ounces of gold equivalent at an average grade of 1.09 grams per tonne. The company has stated that recent mining activity indicates upside potential for Finnish gold stocks. Management director Rob Wrixon highlighted that M&A trends suggest Australian-listed junior miners in the region remain undervalued. Finland is considered a top jurisdiction globally for mining companies, largely due to operations by Agnico Eagle at the Kittilä mine, which has paid approximately US$3 billion to acquire Finnish assets capable of doubling production. Nordic's holdings span the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt and represent a benchmark for resource growth comparable to previous high-grade acquisitions.
