Lowe's CEO pledges $250 million to train one million skilled tradespeople by 2035

Lowe's CEO Marvin Ellison stated that skilled trades can offer six-figure careers. He joined FOX & Friends on Wednesday to discuss the company's effort to create pathways into high-paying jobs outside the traditional university system. Ellison highlighted specific sectors including plumbing, electrical work, welding, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. The Lowe's Foundation has committed $250 million to help train and develop 250,000 tradespeople by 2035. The foundation is backing the 'Building Futures Skilled Trades Coalition' to support this workforce expansion. Ellison emphasized that employers across the country are looking for skilled workers. He argued these roles offer incredible pay without the need for a four-year degree.
