Liberia's Revenue Authority Hits $954.7 Million in Revenue Collection

The Liberia Revenue Authority announced a revenue collection total of US$954.7 million on Wednesday morning for Fiscal Year 2026. Liberia Revenue Authority Commissioner-General James Dorbor Jallah stated the figure represents progress toward a domestic revenue goal of over US$1 billion before month-end and a longer-term target of US$1.3 billion for the year. Jallah attributed the success to ongoing collaboration between the authority, the Ministry of Finance, Development Planning, and other government bodies. Officials highlighted the rollout of electronic fiscal devices as a key factor in reducing tax leakages and improving compliance. These new mechanisms aim to streamline filing processes and strengthen monitoring capabilities across the revenue collection system.
