Infini Resources launches 5,000-metre uranium drilling campaign at Portland Creek project in Canada
Infini Resources has begun a 5,000-metre diamond drilling program at its Newfoundland site to test a high-grade uranium target identified in surface samples.
Infini Resources initiated a Phase Three drilling program at its Portland Creek uranium project in Newfoundland, Canada. The campaign employs a diamond drill rig for up to 5,000 metres and represents the most extensive exploration activity ever conducted at the location. This phase involves fivefold expansion of previous efforts to evaluate what the company describes as a district-scale hydrothermal uranium system. Geologists utilized magnetic surveys to identify granite zones altered by oxidising fluids. Previous soil sampling near the Falls Lake prospect revealed a high-grade anomaly with a peak result of 7.5 per cent uranium oxide. The new program aims to test this target using demagnetised granite beneath a rock scree slope.
