Hering launches Brazilian T-shirt for R$ 49.99 after three decades of inactivity

The clothing manufacturer debuted the Camiseta Brasil at a price point significantly lower than its previous entry-level options, citing extensive engineering and consumer research.

Hering launched the Camiseta Brasil on Wednesday for R$ 49.99. The company stated this pricing strategy represents a 40% reduction compared to its standard entry-level t-shirt available just last month. Fernando Porto, Chief Creative Officer of Hering, described the project as a return to basics after thirty years. He noted that achieving true simplicity requires extensive work involving research, engineering, and design focused on customer fit. The development process included more than 50 staff members and feedback from hundreds of consumers. Engineers tested over 40 different weave batches, evaluated 22 neckline options, and ran 350 prototype simulations to reach the final product. Available in multiple models and colors, the t-shirt is now sold through Hering's website, mobile app, own retail stores, and multi-brand resellers.
