Global green coffee exports rose 6.3% in July to reach 10.76 million sacks
World coffee shipments jumped due to a massive surge from Vietnamese robusta, while Brazilian natural arabica sales fell significantly.
Green coffee exports globally increased by 6.3% in July compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 10.76 million sacks. The Organização Internacional do Café (OIC) released this data on Friday, citing strong growth from robusta varieties as the primary driver. Robusta shipments rose 32% to 4.98 million sacks, propelled by export surges from Vietnam, which accounted for the majority of the global output with its own exports jumping 87.4%. In contrast, arabica exports decreased by 8.9% to 5.78 million sacks, largely due to a 10% drop in Brazilian natural type exports. Accumulated exports for the 2025/26 crop season so far show a slight decline of 0.4%. The organization anticipates a global surplus of 3 million sacks by the end of the 2025/26 cycle, driven by a projected production rise of 4.4% to 183.6 million sacks against a 0.8% fall in consumption.
