Robinhood Markets announced significant growth in total platform assets and funded customers for August 2026. Equity trading volumes rose 68% year-over-year while options contracts saw a decline.

Funded customers totaled 28.6 million as of month-end, representing an increase of approximately 1.90 million compared to the prior year average. Total Platform Assets reached $384 billion at the end of August, marking an 8% rise from July and a 26% gain year-over-year. The company reported net deposits of $4.0 billion for the month, translating to a 14% annualized growth rate against total assets. Over the trailing twelve months, net deposits amounted to $74.1 billion, reflecting a 24% growth rate relative to August 2025 platform totals. Trading volumes showed mixed activity in August. Equity notional trading volumes stood at $335 billion, up 1% from July but surging 68% compared to the same period last year. Average daily volumes for equities hit $16.0 billion, also climbing 68% year-over-year. Options contracts traded dropped to 293 million in August, down 10% from July, though this represented a 50% increase year-over-year with an ADV of 13.9 million contracts. Cryptocurrency notional trading volumes were $17.5 billion in August, up 61% from July. This included Robinhood App notional volumes of $7.4 billion and Bitstamp notional volumes of $10.1 billion.
