Amazon opens 750,000 packages weekly distribution center in Paraná
Amazon and ID Logistics unveiled a new logistics hub capable of processing over 700,000 parcels weekly, enabling same-day delivery in São José dos Pinhais.
Amazon announced the inauguration of its first distribution center in Paraná alongside ID Logistics on Friday in São José dos Pinhais. The facility covers 24,000 square meters and has initial capacity to handle more than 700,000 packages per week. During peak periods, the operation may employ 900 direct and indirect workers. The site utilizes Amazon's fulfillment service, allowing partners to ship goods directly for storage, sorting, packing, and delivery nationwide. This infrastructure also shortens shipping windows for customers in Santa Catarina and accelerates dispatches for vendors from both states. ID Logistics oversees 450 facilities across nineteen countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa. The company stated the project aims to improve local customer receipt times while boosting regional seller efficiency.
