Ant International launches Agentic Mobile Protocol for 1.5 billion consumers across 10 digital wallets
Ant International has released its Agentic Mobile Protocol on GitHub, enabling autonomous AI agents to manage payments within a network covering 10 major Asian digital wallets.
Ant International unveiled the Agentic Mobile Protocol (AMP) on Friday, establishing a technical standard that allows autonomous artificial intelligence agents to execute secure transactions. The initiative targets 1.5 billion consumer accounts across ten major Asian digital wallets, including AlipayHK in Hong Kong, Starryblu in Singapore, and KakaoPay in South Korea. Yang Jiang-ming, Ant International's chief innovation officer, stated that the protocol enables these agents to operate as trusted actors within existing mobile payment systems. This release builds upon Ant International's existing Alipay+ cross-border network. Concurrently, Ant International announced a joint effort with Visa and Mastercard on Thursday regarding a know-your-agent (KYA) framework designed for standardized identity verification of AI agents globally.
