Copenhagen's Seed Capital closes €130 million Fund V for Nordic startups
Copenhagen's Seed Capital announced the closure of its fifth fund, raising €130 million to invest in 15-17 Nordic companies across FinTech, cybersecurity, and AI.
Seed Capital has closed its fifth institutional fund at a capitalization of €130 million. The Copenhagen-based investor will deploy this money into 15 or 17 portfolio companies focusing on seed-to-Series-A funding stages. Target sectors include FinTech, cybersecurity, resilience technology, and artificial intelligence driven business-to-business solutions. Initial investment checks for these ventures range between €3 million and €6 million. Christian Brøndum, Managing Partner of Seed Capital, stated the fund expands operations from Denmark to the broader Nordic region with a specific emphasis on Sweden. He highlighted that staying close to founders allows the team to respond within an hour. The firm has operated since December 2004 and its existing portfolio includes Flatpay, Trustpilot, VEO, Lunar, and Templafy. To date, companies in Seed Capital's roster have collectively raised over $2.6 billion. Beyond capital provision, the investor offers value-generating services such as management support, business development, strategic planning, marketing, and legal assistance.
