Maharashtra Governor breaks ground for Bajaj Finserv's 7.2-million-square-foot Pune campus
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis laid the foundation stone for a new technology-led financial services campus in Pune. The project will feature the company's first sentient building integrating artificial intelligence.
Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, broke ground on September 4 for Bajaj Finserv's new corporate campus in Pune. Officials identified the development as a 7.2-million-square-foot facility intended to become the nation's largest single-location financial services office. Located at Koregaon Park Annexe, the complex is designed with artificial intelligence and Internet of Things systems to monitor environmental conditions, occupancy rates, and infrastructure status in real time. Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director of the company, described the project as its first "sentient" corporate campus. The site will consolidate lending, deposits, payments, insurance, and investments under one address for the first time. Plans indicate the complex will include what Bajaj Finserv states will be Pune's tallest steel tower. Fadnavis noted that the firm has strengthened its position in the state's fintech ecosystem through technology-driven access to loans and services. He emphasized that the new campus would reinforce Pune's role as a financial-technology hub. The ceremony included Sunetra Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister, and Manjusha Nagpure, Pune Mayor.
