ESDS Software shares hit 20% upper circuit at Rs 1,090

Shares of ESDS Software reached an all-time high of Rs 1,090 on Monday after a massive IPO success. Investors hold a notional gain of Rs 661 per share compared to the issue price.

ESDS Software shares extended their post-listing rally on Monday, climbing 20% to hit the upper circuit limit at the National Stock Exchange. Trading stopped at Rs 1,090, marking a peak approximately 154% above the IPO price of Rs 429. This surge followed a strong opening where shares remained locked at the upper-circuit level of Rs 908.40. Over two trading sessions, the stock rose about 44% from its listing price of Rs 757. Investors who purchased during the offering now hold a notional gain of Rs 661.05 per share at the current market value. The company's IPO was a fresh issue priced between Rs 408 and Rs 429, with anchor investors raising an initial Rs 216 crore. Demand for the shares was exceptionally high, with the IPO subscribed around 136 times over three bidding days from August 28 to September 1, 2026. Qualified institutional buyers alone subscribed to their reserved portion more than 261 times.
