Dubai Land Department launches AI platform to slash registration time by 80 percent

The Dubai Land Department rolled out an artificial intelligence-powered Initial Registration platform on September 3. This system merges project registration, property transaction recording, and escrow account management into one digital process for developers. Mustafa Al Rifai, a senior manager at the Dubai Land Department, stated that the new tool eliminates repetitive manual data entry and document submissions. The AI reads Emirates IDs, passports, and sale contracts to automatically fill application fields. Standard transactions meeting DLD rules can now process without human intervention. Previously, completing registration took roughly 30 minutes. The new platform aims to finish eligible applications in less than five minutes. Al Rifai noted that data-entry operations could drop by up to 80 percent through this technology. Developers gain a consolidated view of their projects and property portfolios within the unified system. The digital journey integrates communication and transaction follow-up between developers, the Dubai Land Department, and banks. This integration reduces the frequency of office visits, phone calls, and emails required for registration.
