Crusoe valuation reaches $30 billion following Jane Street cloud deal
AI infrastructure startup Crusoe raised over $3 billion in funding, establishing a roughly $30 billion post-money valuation. The company secured a landmark five-year contract with trading firm Jane Street Group valued at approximately $13 billion.
Crusoe, an artificial intelligence data center startup launched in 2018, raised more than $3 billion in a recent financing round. This capital injection brought the company's post-money valuation to about $30 billion. The firm shifted its business focus from cryptocurrency operations to providing specialized AI cloud and data center infrastructure. A major catalyst for this funding was a five-year cloud contract signed with Jane Street Group, which trades roughly $13 billion in value. Sources described the deal as Crusoe's most significant cloud customer to date. In addition to Jane Street, the company has existing agreements to supply computing power to Meta Platforms and Oracle. Industry observers noted that demand for specialized computing power continues to surge as organizations build models for artificial intelligence applications. Crusoe stated in June that it holds contracts covering 4.9 gigawatts of available computing capacity, with a total project pipeline exceeding 40 gigawatts. The company has been actively expanding its infrastructure capabilities in response to growing market needs.
