UBS analysts select CSL and Sigma Healthcare for ASX top ten stock picks
Financial services firm UBS named CSL Group and Sigma Health as preferred shares among its top ten ASX recommendations. Standard & Poor's also promoted several biotechnology companies into major indices recently.
UBS research analysts have nominated CSL Group (ASX:CSL) and Sigma Health (ASX:SIG) on their list of preferred ideas for the coming three to six months. The firm selected CSL due to expected high earnings certainty under interim CEO Gordon Naylor, citing long lead times and improved cost control. UBS favored Sigma because of consistent like-for-like sales growth and expanding gross margins. Other stocks in the top ten selection include Auckland International Airport, AMP, Genesis Minerals, Light & Wonder, Megaport, Orica, and Ventia Services. Meanwhile, Standard & Poor's adjusted the S&P/ASX quarterly indices to include biotechnology firms. Four companies were promoted into the ASX300 index and three moved up in the All-Ordinaries index. The four ASX300 graduates are Artrya, which makes drug treatments for coronary plaque, and Echo IQ, which focuses on aortic conditions.
