116,000 Ether Tokens Leave Exchanges Despite $300 Million Withdrawal

Over 48 hours, more than 116,000 Ether tokens left centralized exchanges, representing a value of roughly $300 million. Price action remained confined within the $2,370 to $2,530 trading band despite the reduced supply.

More than 116,000 Ether tokens moved from cryptocurrency exchanges over 48 hours. These transfers represent a value of roughly $300 million at prevailing prices. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez highlighted the shift as it occurred in parallel with price activity. Ether remained confined to a narrow trading range between $2,370 and $2,530 during this period. The token traded near $2,440 on Friday after a volatile week that left it close to the upper part of the range. CoinGecko data showed the token at $2,437.51 on Thursday compared with $2,456.09 a week earlier. Friday's market capitalisation was about $297.5 billion. The outflow has attracted attention because the amount of Ether available on centralized exchanges can influence short-term market liquidity. A sustained fall in exchange balances may reduce potential sell-side supply if demand holds or increases, but transfers can also reflect routine custody movements between wallets and trading platforms. Martinez said a decisive move outside the identified band could clarify the token's next direction.
