Aave v4 deposits surpass $900 million as protocol activity accelerates on Ethereum

The Aave lending platform exceeded $900 million in deposits for its fourth-generation system, while active borrowing reached approximately $280 million. The AAVE token currently trades near $128.

Aave Labs announced on September 9 that its fourth-generation (v4) lending platform surpassed $900 million in total deposits less than six months after launching on Ethereum. On Sunday, market data indicated the AAVE token traded around $128, representing roughly a two percent increase over the previous twenty-four hours and establishing a market capitalization close to $2 billion. This deposit milestone signifies a sharp acceleration for v4 following an earlier August target of $800 million.

Industry tracking suggests outstanding active loans reached about $250 million, with weekend commentary estimating approximately $280 million in borrowing. Analysts noted that rising deposits paired with higher borrowing imply more liquidity is being utilized rather than held idle. However, Aave stated that protocol expansion does not establish a direct price forecast for the token. Traders remain focused on reaching $160, which would require a roughly twenty-five percent gain from current levels. Some technical observers highlighted $120 as a critical support area.
