True Fitness Closure Causes Over S$63,000 in Reported Losses for Members
Singapore's consumer watchdog received 28 complaints regarding sudden closures that led to reported financial losses exceeding S$63,000 for customers.
The Singapore Consumer Affairs department has recorded 28 complaints from members of True Fitness and True Yoga following the chains abrupt closure on September 11, 2026. Members face reported losses totaling more than S$63,000 due to unutilized memberships, prepaid packages, and services. A member who paid over S$6,000 for a lifetime Asia-wide membership eight years ago expressed confusion about her next steps after the shuttering. Staff members also stated they were not informed in advance that the business would close. The company forfeited its tenancy at locations such as the Great World shopping mall, leaving no official notice period for customers. Some patrons are currently attempting to recoup fees from unused portions of their contracts while others remain resigned to the situation.
