US markets rallied with the Dow climbing 600 points and Robinhood shares rising 11%, while European indices closed higher following global rate relief.
The US Dow Jones industrial average advanced approximately 600 points, moving toward its strongest performance of the month. Robinhood stock surged about 11%, matching its best daily return since August 21. Deutsche Bank analyst Brian Bedell stated company financial KPI contracts could become the largest event asset class by 2028, potentially exceeding sports betting volume. He predicted CBOE would benefit most if it secures SEC approval, though Robinhood could also launch through Rothera.
European markets closed in positive territory on Thursday, except for Lisbon, aided by easing global rates despite ongoing tensions near the Strait of Hormuz. The FTSE 100 reached 10,831.52 points up 0.70%. The DAX climbed to 26,007.57 and the CAC 40 topped 8,286.40. Goldman Sachs noted transport adjustments near Ormuz would constrain oil gains, while Man Group's Kristina Hooper suggested defense and infrastructure spending supported equity markets.
