Saudi transport sector net profits reach $173.3 million in first half of 2026
Saudi Arabia's transport sector reported a 155.5% year-over-year increase in aggregate net profits, hitting $173.3 million in H1 2026.
Saudi Arabia's transport sector posted record financial growth during the first half of 2026. Aggregate net profits for the nine listed companies reached approximately 173.3 million US dollars (650 million Saudi riyals). This represents a 155.5 percent increase compared to $67.8 million collected in the same period last year. Strong performance across logistics and ports drove the surge, while airline-related rental services continued to face pressure. In the second quarter alone, total revenues rose by 13.1 percent to nearly $950 million (6.21 billion riyals). The sector shifted from operating at a loss to generating a net profit of approximately $14 million (156.1 million riyals) for the period. This turnaround indicates improved operational conditions specifically within logistics and port operations.
