Revolut allows CEO to borrow up to $250 million against his shares

Revolut has sought investor approval to increase its co-founder and CEO Nik Storonsky's share borrowing limit fivefold. The new maximum stands at $250 million.

Reports indicate Revolut is asking investors for permission to raise the cap on loans Nik Storonsky, its chief executive officer and co-founder, can take against his equity stake. The proposed increase represents a five times expansion of the previous limit. If approved, the maximum amount Storonsky could borrow would reach $250 million. Financial analysis notes that while this borrowing facility remains available to him, it does not necessarily dictate how much he has currently drawn down on that credit line. Internal data suggests his current utilization of available borrowing capacity sits at approximately 8 percent. The company states the measure is designed to support its growth trajectory.
