Nvidia Equity Investments Reach $99 Billion, Surpassing Prior Levels Significantly
Nvidia's equity investment portfolio has grown more than tenfold in a single year to reach $99 billion, making it one of the world's largest strategic tech backers.
Nvidia has increased the value of its equity investments to $99 billion as of July 26. This figure represents a surge from approximately $7 billion just one year earlier and rose from roughly $2.2 billion two years ago. The chip maker is now among the global investors holding the largest tech stakes, though it remains behind Alphabet and Amazon, which each hold investments exceeding $100 billion. Over the past twelve months, Nvidia has committed more than $40 billion to financing rounds across the artificial intelligence stack. In August, the company announced partnerships designed to mobilize over $500 billion in financing for its graphics processing units while pledging up to $105 billion in conditional credit support for an OpenAI data center in Ohio. On Thursday, Nvidia stated plans to acquire Hugging Face for $12.9 billion.
