Nvidia earnings preview set as stock slips to seventh straight session down

Nvidia releases AI chip data after the US close, with market focus on CEO Jensen Huang's outlook for months ahead.

The global market prepares for Nvidia's quarterly earnings report following the US trading close at 22:00 CET. Shares are currently down more than 6% from last week's open and have fallen across seven consecutive sessions, marking the longest losing streak in the company since 2022. Despite a roughly 3% rebound on Monday, analysts and investors closely watch CEO Jensen Huang regarding his guidance for the coming months rather than past results alone. Nvidia holds the core position powering the artificial intelligence boom, meaning its outlook carries significant ripple effects beyond Silicon Valley. The stock remains up around 8% in August and has gained over 13% year-to-date since opening that year. European chipmakers including Dutch company ASML stand to gain as well, having already raised its 2026 sales forecast twice due to rising AI demand.
