On September 4, 2026, President Min Aung Hlaing visited the VinFast Hai Phong Manufacturing Complex in Vietnam. He toured the Body Shop and General Assembly Shop with VinFast Chairman Pham Nhat Quan Anh. The President observed automated production lines and an electric vehicle portfolio that includes cars and motorcycles. He praised the quality and modern infrastructure of the facility. In a separate business development, Ethiopian Airlines increased its weekly flights to Nigeria to 53 routes. The expansion added four weekly services to Port Harcourt, bringing the total count. Lagos operations rose to 21 weekly flights, while Kano saw four additional flights totaling 11 weekly departures. General Manager Firiehiwot Mekonnen stated the move reflects confidence in the Nigerian aviation market and offers passengers more seat availability and competitive fares.
