CyFrica 2026 Summit Returns to Lagos on October 8 with NITDA and Galaxy Backbone as Partners

Nigeria's digital economy is projected to reach $18.3 billion by 2026, yet the nation faces significant cybersecurity risks that threaten its growing infrastructure. More than 281,500 accounts were reportedly breached during the first quarter of 2026 alone, highlighting a widening gap between digital opportunity and cyber threat. The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), and Galaxy Backbone Limited have joined CyFrica 2026 as supporting partners to address these challenges. Organizers announced the event will take place on October 8, 2026, at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos. The summit aims to facilitate strategic dialogue on cyber resilience, data protection, and public-private collaboration among regulators, experts, and enterprise leaders. Participants are expected to explore practical methods for strengthening digital defenses in Nigeria's increasingly complex threat environment.
