Circle agreed to acquire Tazapay in a deal closing by 2027 for approximately $400 million
Circle Inc. plans to buy Singapore's Tazapay platform to expand its cross-border payment network, with the transaction pending regulatory approval before finalizing in 2027.
Circle has agreed to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-based cross-border payments platform, in a deal expected to close by 2027. The company stated the acquisition requires customary closing conditions and approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Tazapay reported more than $25 billion in annualized payment volume and serves over 60 banking and fintech partners across more than 100 markets. Stablecoins account for about 60% of Tazapay's transaction volume, according to Circle. Irfan Ganchi, senior vice president of payments at Circle, noted the move will increase its capability to originate and terminate payments globally, near-instant and 24/7. The company previously invested $57.9 million in Tazapay's Series B round in August 2025. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but a separate report suggests a transaction value of approximately $400 million.
