$79,624 Bitcoin Price Stalls as $246 Million in Crypto Positions Liquidated

Bitcoin traded at $79,624 while $246 million in positions were liquidated in 24 hours. Analysts note rising volatility and mixed ETF flows amid macro risk.

Bitcoin remained near $79,000 on Wednesday despite increasing macroeconomic risks. Research analyst Delta Exchange stated approximately $246 million in crypto positions were liquidated over the past 24 hours, with long positions taking the primary hit. The cryptocurrency closed at $79,624, reflecting a 1.56% increase. Ethereum rose 1.66% to $2,517, while major altcoins including BNB, XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin rallied up to 3.37%. Analyst Riya Sehgal indicated that Bitcoin volatility climbed to around 40.2, a rise of more than 7%. She argued that despite softer price action, the market has not suffered a major capitulation because recent Bitcoin ETF demand remains supportive. Traders remain cautious ahead of key U.S. inflation data.
