Tungsten Mining receives full approvals for early works at Watershed project in Queensland

Tungsten Mining (ASX:TGN) secured all primary project approvals, allowing immediate expansion of site activities at its Watershed tungsten mine ahead of the Definitive Feasibility Study due in October.

Tungsten Mining has obtained all necessary primary approvals to commence early works and expand its camp at the Watershed tungsten project in Queensland. The company now holds the Environmental Authority, a Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan, an EPBC Act determination, and approved environmental rehabilitation security. These permits, alongside an Indigenous Land Use Agreement with the Western Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation and a Cultural Heritage Management Plan, fully authorize mining and production operations. Site establishment is currently underway with up to 60 employees engaged in resource drilling, exploration, heritage surveys, water-bore drilling, geotechnical drilling, and site preparation. Progress includes access-road construction, approved clearing, and infrastructure development around the planned process plant, accommodation areas, and early mining zones. Haul road work covers the broader establishment scope surrounding the heavy-vehicle transport network. The Definitive Feasibility Study is scheduled for delivery in October. Following that study, the Final Investment Decision (FID) and financing activities are expected to proceed. Tungsten Mining targets production commencement in the first half of 2027.
