EFInA to release ninth A2F Survey findings September 16 in Abuja

Enhancing Financial Inclusion and Advancement (EFInA) will release findings from the ninth Access to Financial Services (A2F) Survey on September 16, 2026. The launch event takes place in Abuja, Nigeria. EFInA conducts this biennial survey every two years since 2008. This specific round follows surveys conducted in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2023. These nine rounds create a data record spanning more than 17 years. The survey tracks how Nigerians access formal and informal financial services. It covers how households manage daily needs, emergencies, future planning, and economic shocks. The project collects both financial and non-financial information. EFInA chief executive Foyinsolami Akinjayeju described this dataset as national economic infrastructure. He noted that nine rounds provide continuous records of household behavior through reform, shock, and recovery. Regulators such as the Central Bank of Nigeria utilize this data when formulating policy.
