Greatland to invest $350 million in Paterson iron ore mine

Greatland Resources plans a major expansion of its Paterson project, with an investment value exceeding half a billion dollars.

Greatland Resources is planning significant capital expenditure for its Paterson iron ore project in Western Australia. The company stated it intends to inject over $350 million into the facility to upgrade existing infrastructure and potentially increase production capacity. Management describes the operation as finding massive ore bodies suitable for high-grade output. These plans include new processing units designed to handle specific rock types found on-site. Greatland said the project aims to support future shipping contracts by expanding throughput capabilities within the next few years. The proposed spending targets equipment modernization and rail access improvements to move more material efficiently toward export points. No final timeline for construction has been set yet, but the financial commitment confirms a major operational shift at the mine site.
