Azzuro Resources has used 3D geophysical surveys to pinpoint nine high-priority copper targets around the Oval body in southwestern Mongolia, establishing a path for an initial JORC resource estimate.
Azzuro Resources is advancing its exploration program at two copper-nickel prospects in southwestern Mongolia by identifying nine new high-value geological targets. A 3D induced-polarization survey revealed nine prospective anomalies surrounding the Oval intrusive body, with five marked as priority-1 targets. These targets feature coincident chargeability and low resistivity signatures, indicating potential mineralization at depths not previously tested. Surveying also confirmed a single diamond hole, CRS05, at the Copper Ridge copper-gold prospect. The company states these results are supported by strong magnetic survey modeling and aim to support an initial JORC 2023 resource estimate. Managing director Gan-Ochir Zunduisuren noted that the majority of these targets were located in areas where previous drilling had not occurred. He described the findings as exactly the kind of results needed to feed global copper demand amid rising prices and supply constraints.
