New Sparkle Roll reportedly seeks to sell 10.01% stake in Bang & Olufsen
Hong Kong group New Sparkle Roll is considering selling its major holding in the Danish audio maker, though no final decision has been made yet.
People familiar with the matter say Hong Kong-based New Sparkle Roll International Group is exploring the sale of its stake in Bang & Olufsen. The discussions concern a shareholding exceeding 10% that currently makes New Sparkle Roll one of the company's two largest disclosed shareholders. Bang & Olufsen confirmed in April 2025 that Sparkle Roll indirectly held 10.01% of the company's shares and voting rights as of April 23, 2025. This represents an increase from earlier ownership levels reported in annual reports. The investor previously labeled the holding a long-term investment aimed at generating capital appreciation and distributions. While New Sparkle Roll remains one of two major investors above the 10% threshold alongside Denmark's Dyvig Holdings, the group has not finalized its decision to dispose of these shares. Other significant shareholders include ATP and Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker, while UBS also surpassed the reporting threshold in 2026 at times. The status of the potential sale remains under consideration.
