42% of CleanMax portfolio now serves AI and data centres
CleanMax reports that nearly 42% of its contracted renewable power capacity now caters to artificial intelligence and data centre customers, marking a tenfold growth in this segment over two years.
India's artificial intelligence and data centre boom is driving demand for clean energy. CleanMax, one of India's largest renewable energy companies focused on commercial and industrial customers, reported that the Data & AI segment has become its fastest-growing business unit. Kuldeep Jain, Founder and Managing Director of CleanMax, stated that nearly 42% of the company's contracted renewable power sales capacity now serves customers in this sector. This represents a growth of nearly tenfold over the past two years. Jain explained that as data centres operate round the clock, clients are moving beyond simple solar projects to integrated wind, solar, hybrid systems and energy storage solutions. He noted that every 1 GW of data centre IT load translates into nearly 1.5 GW of continuous power demand, requiring around 6 GW of renewable capacity plus significant storage investments. With its contracted capacity reaching nearly 6 GW, CleanMax highlighted partnerships with global technology giants including Google, Meta and Apple. The company is positioning itself at the intersection of AI infrastructure growth and clean energy supply.
