Dubai opens world's 1,971kg silver bar to tokenized investors on BNB Chain

DMCC has launched a Guinness World Record silver bar as an Asset-Referenced Virtual Asset for fractional investment.

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has successfully brought the world's largest silver bar into regulated tokenised investment. The physical asset, a 1,971kg bar made of 99.9% pure silver, is now available to eligible investors as fractional digital interests known as Asset-Referenced Virtual Assets, or ARVAs. This marks the first tokenised commodity asset issued under DMCC's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority framework. The project utilizes Tokinvest, a Dubai-based platform regulated by VARA, and deploys tokens on the BNB Chain. Secondary-market trading is scheduled to commence following initial issuance once regulatory requirements are met. Custody and logistics are managed by Brink's, while the bar was manufactured by SAM Precious Metals in the UAE. Produced to commemorate the founding of the United Arab Emirates in 1971, the record-breaking piece was previously unveiled at the Dubai Precious Metals Conference in November 2025 after receiving Guinness World Records recognition. The metal is registered and verified through DMCC Tradeflow, which tracks possession and ownership for commodities held in UAE facilities.
