Pure One subsidiary to start dewatering Project Venus integrated wells in October

Eastern Gas finished drilling the Venus-2H well in Queensland on September 1, with combined flow testing scheduled for October.

Eastern Gas, a Pure One Corporation subsidiary operating under a 69.4% shareholding, completed drilling of the Venus-2H horizontal well in the Surat Basin near Queensland late last month. The final heavy equipment left the site on September 1. Drilling intersected 445 meters of interpreted net target coal with gas shows reaching 42.3%. The integrated system will pair the horizontal Venus-2H with the vertical Venus-1 well. Dewatering and flow testing are currently underway to collect reservoir performance data. These tests will measure water production, pressure response, and gas breakthrough rates. Pure One stated the program aims to generate reserve classification data before commercial development. Start-up is tentatively set for October pending final site preparation confirmation.
