Sirion launches first electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia on September 21

Saudi-based electric vehicle startup Sirion announced its debut car launch for the Kingdom on September 21. Meanwhile, US consumer price inflation rose 0.4 percent last month.

Sirion revealed plans to introduce its first electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia on September 21. The automotive company is expected to begin this rollout shortly after securing necessary approvals in the region. On the US financial front, core stock market indicators advanced on Friday toward closing the week higher, despite data showing an acceleration in consumer price inflation rates during August. Official labor statistics reported that the Consumer Price Index increased by 0.4 percent over the previous month, up slightly from a 0.1 percent rise recorded in July. On a year-over-year basis, consumer inflation climbed to 3.4 percent in August, matching the figure from July. Despite market optimism driven by falling oil prices, analysts noted that these inflation figures remain stubborn. Joe Saluzzi, founding partner and managing director at Thimeis Trading, described the data as defying expectations while noting it does not satisfy either bullish or bearish market forecasts regarding future interest rate trajectories.
